Manifest Your Life

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it really means to manifest the life you want. For me, right now, it means making my own opportunities, not waiting for things to magically align. It means looking for the voids in what’s already there and figuring out how my talents and gifts can best be utilized. It means seeking inspiration from what already exists, then adding my own spin. It’s not about sitting around and dreaming; it’s about rolling up my sleeves, doing the work, and creating the life I want.


Taking Action Over Dreaming

Manifestation isn’t about wishing or hoping that things will get better. It’s about becoming an active participant in your own journey. I used to think that if I visualized enough, or just stayed positive, the universe would magically deliver. But what I’ve learned is that the universe meets us where we are—and we need to meet it halfway.

Manifesting means being intentional about what we want, but it also means moving with courage toward those goals. It’s about spotting the gaps and opportunities in your life and stepping into them. It’s about creating solutions, not waiting for them.

So I ask myself:

  • What areas of my life feel stagnant?
  • Where do I feel a pull to create something new?
  • How can I take my unique skills and perspectives and bring them to the table?

The Power of Inspired Action

Inspiration is everywhere. Look at what already exists—the businesses, projects, stories—and ask yourself: What’s missing? What would make this better? How can I bring my unique perspective to this space?

For me, this journey has meant embracing the idea that I’m the architect of my life. I’ve stopped waiting for someone to hand me the blueprint. Instead, I’m sketching it myself. That doesn’t mean it’s easy, and it doesn’t mean the plan is always clear, but it does mean I’m taking action rather than waiting for permission.

The universe loves movement. When we act, even in small ways, we generate momentum. We show that we’re serious about the life we’re building. That’s when opportunities start to show up—sometimes in the most unexpected places.


Letting Go of Perfection

One thing that held me back for years was the belief that I had to have it all figured out before I could start. That I needed to know exactly what I was doing, where I was going, and how it was going to turn out. But life doesn’t work that way.

Perfectionism is the enemy of progress. When we wait for the perfect moment or perfect plan, we risk never starting at all. I’ve learned to embrace the idea of starting before I feel ready, of learning as I go, and of adjusting the course as needed.

It’s not about getting it right on the first try—it’s about having the courage to try at all.


Manifestation Through Community

Manifesting your life doesn’t mean doing it all alone. Some of the most beautiful things I’ve created have come from collaborating with others, from sharing ideas and getting feedback, from leaning on a supportive network.

When I’m feeling stuck, I reach out. I ask for input. I listen to stories of how others have overcome challenges. Community fuels creativity, and connection reminds us that we’re not alone in this journey.

Living It Today

Manifesting isn’t about some future version of your life. It’s about living with intention today. It’s about making the most of this moment, taking the next step, and trusting that each step will lead you closer to where you’re meant to be.

So today, I’m asking myself:

  • What small action can I take today that will move me forward?
  • How can I show up for myself in this moment?
  • What can I create today that will make me proud tomorrow?

I’m choosing to live my manifestation in real time—not as a wish, but as a practice.

Are You Disappointed With The Results Of The Work You Didn’t Do?

It’s easy to feel disappointed when things don’t work out the way we’d hoped. But here’s the hard truth: sometimes we’re disappointed not because life let us down, but because we didn’t show up and do the work. We wanted the results, but skipped the steps it takes to earn them.

I know this because I lived it. For years, I clung to magical thinking—believing that somehow, some way, the good things I wanted would just appear. I thought if I wished hard enough or hoped long enough, the change I needed would show up without me having to actually do anything different.

Spoiler alert: it didn’t.

Wishing Isn’t Working

Looking back, I realize how much time I wasted waiting for something to happen instead of making something happen. I was stuck in the cycle of perfectionism and low self-worth—telling myself there was no point in trying if I couldn’t do it perfectly, or that I wasn’t worthy of the outcome anyway. So I stayed stuck, watching others get the results I wanted while doing nothing to change my own situation.

Scrolling through social media didn’t help. I saw people thriving, hitting milestones, sharing wins. And I wanted that. But instead of getting inspired, I got resentful. Why not me?

The truth: I hadn’t done the work. They had.

The Shift Begins with a Step

It took hitting a true bottom—emotionally, spiritually, and physically—for me to finally reach out and ask for help. I didn’t know what the path looked like, and I didn’t need to. I just had to take the first step. That single act—picking up the phone and admitting I needed support—set everything into motion.

As I walked this new path, I started to do the work. And the results came. Slowly at first, but with each effort, my life began to change. The more I invested in myself, the more I believed I was worthy of what I was building. And that belief—that self-worth—became the true result of the work I was doing.

Results Take Action

No one can do this for you. Not your friends, not your partner, not your mentor. The transformation starts with you. It might feel overwhelming to imagine all the work it takes to change your life, but you don’t have to do it all at once. You only have to do what’s in front of you. One step, one moment, one decision at a time.

Doing the work shifts your mindset. It silences the doubts and empowers you to keep going. Even when the results aren’t immediate or perfect, the effort is building something better. Something sustainable. Something real.

If you want change, you have to move. Wishful thinking might feel comfortable, but real change requires real effort. The work is where the transformation happens.

So ask yourself: Are you ready to stop hoping for results and start working for them?

From Victim To Victor

Before walking this path I thought of myself as of victim. I felt I was a victim of those around and me and a victim of life. I truly believed that everything and everyone was conspiring to get me. And, my disease told me that I deserved it. I used the victim label like a get out of jail card, I used it to excuse myself from bad behavior or for not taking action where I should and could have. There was a lot I could have done over the years to help myself, but not as long as I could only see myself as a victim. Even when I made the choice to get better I still believed I was a victim, but my path of healing was about to reveal to me that I had been a victim, most of all, to myself.

Stepping into a new way of life and interacting with new people who were battling the same issues as I was, I noticed that these people were not victims, they were fighters, survivors, warriors and victors. It was inspiring, but I still had to be willing to let go of the victimhood that I had used to shield myself from the responsibilities of my own actions. If I was going to find victory in this new way of life I had to let go of being a victim. Shedding that label was scary, as letting it go and not identifying myself as victim meant that I had to take responsibility for my part in the activities and events that lead me to my personal bottom. That was a lot to face up to. When I was able to be rigorously honest with myself, there was very little that I had been a victim to, most everything I had labeled as something I had no part in was absolutely false, my part was all over those things I wanted to make others responsible for. With the exception of our childhood, when we’re young and do not have the ability to make choices, we play some role in most of everything that happens in our lives. There are those instances we do fall victim to a crime or unwittingly get involved in something, but for the most part, even if it’s just engaging with someone or something I shouldn’t have, I played a part in it, or, at the very least, I still had a choice of how I react to what was happening around me. I was no victim, I contributed to much of my heartache and even, at times, purposely led myself down a path to get hurt or betrayal because I thought I deserved it. That victim cloak I draped over myself was mostly made up of excuses to not take ownership of my actions and to a life that I was ashamed of. I certainly had mental health issues working against me, but had I been honest and had the courage to share my truth those issues, as I’ve learned on the path I walk now, are not insurmountable. When I finally took responsibility for my part in all that led me to a place of incomprehensible demoralization, in that moment, I stopped being a victim and became a victor. It took much more work than that to really take ownership of it, but that was the first step, admitting where I had played a part in my own demise.

Today I know I am a victor, I have been victorious over many things, for many years. I will no longer allow myself to be a victim and I will take responsibility for my actions and my part in things. When we admit our part and see where we contributed to our own misery and wrongdoing we take our power back, or perhaps gain it for the first time, that power gives us the fuel to take part in our own recovery, in the ownership of our actions, and reactions, and allows us to find and learn a better way of life. For those of us who have made the move to victor we know the strength we have found in that, and we encourage those who have not yet crossed over to join us as we walk in victory together on this new path and the road beyond. SLAY on!

How have you played the victim in your own past? Have you used that to gain sympathy or to manipulate in the past? Do you still do that? Why? How does that hurt you? Have others tried to place a victim label on you? Why do you think that is? Are you willing to look at your part in the events that lead you to believe you are a victim? How can you take your power back? We are strong men and women who cannot be defeated unless we allow it, we can overcome anything we put our minds to, and we can use the strength of those around us to help us when we feel weak, or unsure what the next step may be. Find your strength, hold on to us as you make that step from victim to victor and soar.
